I really want to find my serial number just to make sure I got a genuine HD650.
 
It appears from this thread that the S/N is located right underneath the earpad. How exactly do I remove the ear pad, and is the S/N on both sides? (The picture in the manual was a bit ambiguous, and nothing happened when I tried pulling on the pad, but I just didn't want to start yanking on it.) Also, are they easy to put back?
 
I got my pair from an authorized dealer off Amazon, but still, I'd like to know my S/N.
