So lately i have been looking around for an alternative for Beats by Dre which my whole school seems to own. I really want Denon AH-D2000's. I would like to know...
1. How is the sound quality of these?
2. How is the isolation on these?
3. How do these compare to Beats, Grado sr325i or any other headphones in the same general price range.
4. Do these need an amp or an audio cable? if so which ones should i get for a low price?
5. Are there any other headphones with great isolation and sound quality i should look into?
6. How do these work with Ipods/Iphones and/or my macbook which are the main things i will be using these headphones with.
7. Are there any other details i need to know about?

Thanks,
John

1. They sound great for the price.  For more details, do a search and read some existing threads on the subject.
2. If you turn the sound up, you'll feel pretty good about the isolation.  They will leak some sound.
3.
4. They don't need an amp.
5. In the $250 price range?  I'm sure there will be lots of other recommendations.
6. Plug it in and go.  It fits the standard portable headphone jack by default.
7. do a search here for D2000s and read some existing threads on the subject.
