Pioneer SE-CH9T - Premium In-Ear Headphones

I finally ordered the ch9t's via amazon two days ago hoping I'd get them before Christmas. Now it says I'll get them on the 29th :sob:. To have something new to listen to I also ordered the mee m6 pro's that arrived today. A quick first listening session leaves me semi-impressed. They are brightish with enough rumble in the lower frequencies. I don't really get a perfect fit with any of it's or my eartips. Maybe the KZ starline would work, but I don't have any of these atm as my order has not arrived yet. Soundstage is quite good though. I'll keep them until the ch9t's arrive just to have something to compare them to, knowing it's probably not going to be a fair shootout.

I also thought about getting a pair of the ADV S2000's but looking at the frequency response chart I think they'd be too v-shaped for my liking...
I have the S2000, they are midforward whereas the 9T are slightly recessed (u-shaped not v-shape). S2000 are good sub-$50 but 9T are better to me. Of course that's what I hear and others disagree with me

After spending some extended time with both the S2000 and CH9T, I totally agree. The S2000 sound good, but I prefer the CH9T.

The S2000 are very comfortable and extremely small (they could easily work for sleeping). My biggest gripe with them is the upper portion of the S2000 cable (from the mic up) is incredibly thin looking, and has no strain reliefs. I would have paid $5 more for a better cable.

Hi, I'm currently using Nuforce EDC from massdrop and AKG N20U for IEMs and is looking for an upgrade from these 2. Looking for something that sound even better and more bass. I have been eyeing the CH9T awhile.. just need some advice if CH9T is any better from the ones im using now.
CH9T, 1More Triple, IE8 and AKG N30 is what i'm considering now. Just not sure if IE8 and N30 are worth the extra dollars over CH9T. If CH5T is better than N20U, i might consider it too! Trying to cut down spending too much on IEMs. Thanks in advance!

I just got my CH9T yesterday, so they may not be fully broken-in yet, but to me they don't have anywhere as much bass as iBasso IT01. Given that there isn't a large price difference between the two, I would strongly suggest getting IT01 instead of CH9T if you like plentiful bass. I will probably be returning my CH9T.

Thanks pete! I'm not really a basshead, just wanted a little tad more bass than the AKG. I love the AKG N20, but wanted to try something different and better. Thanks for your recommendation, will definately check out the iBasso IT01!

The Pioneer bass is not lacking at all, needs burn in but isn't a bass cannon. It's very well balanced to the rest of the frequencies. You do need to tip roll to get the best fit, I'm using the Spiral Dots ML on mine.

Haven't heard the N20U, I did have the AKG N40 though...kept my Pioneer. I did really like the AKG but I've came to the conclusion that I prefer single Dynamic over Hybrid

N40 is the flagship of the Nseries. N20U is the cheapest of the series with single dynamic driver model but non-detachable cable. N40 cost alot more than the CH9T though. CH9T is around the price range of N20U. Awesome. Thanks!

How much burn in would you say it needs?
About 100hrs. Seal is important. They have a bass level above neutral but it's not super in your face.

I think whoever that feels that CH9T bass is lacking, must be due bad seal or insertion (or non original product).
I agree their bass level is clearly above neutral.

Good to know! I'm incline to get it anytime soon!
