Are the Renata's ergonomics like the EA Codes? 🙂
Similarly thick, though nowhere near as stiff as Code 23. I should have a chance to compare it with Code 24 in a few weeks.

Have you tried any of the Sound tiger amps?
I've A/Bed 475 against the Sound Tiger Sinfonia, which is much smaller and may be the best value portable amp on the market.

I liked the Sinfonia and would choose it for actual portable use, whereas 475 is too large so I only use it at home. However the Mass Kobo is in a different league sonically, but is substantially brighter & more expensive.

One of my personal favorite setups. Both liquid and detailed, and the best BA bass I've come across. Chimera is fantastic top to bottom but sucks ergonomically. Still, worth the price for what it does with the AP!

Decided to start using my Sony phone as a DAP like when I had a V60. I was thinking about maybe getting a Hiby FC6 since I love the R2R sound. But I decided to try the M4 even though the units have some errors in the fabrication (the 2.5 jack has the L-R channels reversed, and the charging port can only charge with a USB-A to C cable). I'm glad the other usb-c port works fine with a C-to-C cable. This "dongle" solution will work nicely
UPDATE: I compared the sound connected like this versus LDAC. Wow! Big difference. The sound through BT was very flat for some reason. Through usb-c, there was so much more detail and slam to all the music. Pleasantly surprised!

Can you tell me what is the music player on your phone? That's a nice UI.

New setup. Wireless (AptX HD) with great ANC. Option to EQ thru Walkman. Plenty of storage and more than enough battery life. Solid sound quality with comfort and “a perfect fit every time.” No more cables, and no more cleaning and noodling around with ear tips. Honestly, these Dali IO-12s have made my IEMs obsolete for commuting.

It is the stock music app on the Sony phone. I think in the Google Play Store, the Sony Music Center is the same.

thanks for that. It looks good...I used to have several Xperia phones in the past and Sony always has good UI on their phones!

I just recently started using the app on the phone. I always used UAPP and Pulsar. But the UI in those is so cluttered now. I've been interested in a Sony DAP and the nice UI they have. I remembered I had my Xperia sitting around and decided to try the stock app and it rocks lol
