Very nice rig, br777

Here's my very, very portable rig:

I've got an iPod Touch 4G as well but I tend not to use it because it doesnt sound quite as nice as this. I'll be pairing the touch with a mini^3 soon so that hopefully will be better than my current source.

RIP iPod Shuffle. The USB connector on it died. How on earth did you get yours to survive for so long?

I have that same Kindle 3 but never tried to listen to music on it. How is the sound?

It sounds surprisingly decent, but the output isn't very powerful.

Does anyone actually stuff these rigs in their pockets? I can stuff an LG EnV Touch + an E11 with a bit of room to spare, but I can't imagine doing much more than that..

I can fit mine (iPod Touch 3g + E7) in my pocket... just. But it generally lives in my messenger bag.

iPod is on backup incase the Droid's battery dies, which is very rare now.

I like the look of those headphones, I wish I could get used to wearing cans.

Me too, with regards to the messenger bag, I like to have empty pockets.

How about for students though? I'm a sophomore in high school so.. And carrying it around in my backpack will be a hassle cause I change songs a lot, rather than just letting it play through all my songs :).

If I'm in a sittuation where I cant take my bag I usually just take a DAP that has good SQ and high output volume; an iPod Touch, EQu and the right earphones should do the job.

Long LOD to amp in pocket to headphones. Takes 2 pockets but it's totally worth it for people (like us) that change songs a lot.

That's exactly what I do unless using the CLAS then it's the ipod USB data cable instead, same principle though. Which ever rig I use goes in the messenger bag, phones in ears and ipod on an umbilical LOD to amp or USB to CLAS so I can control my tunes....

I did that with my CLAS when I had it too. Really works well.
