Those look exactly like the Radius DDM2. Interesting.

Having never heard the DDM2 as a reference, I can't comment on the quality of the Brookstones versus that of the DDM2 but I can safely say I am very, very pleased with them.

The Cardas mini-to-mini is actually a great little cable... but not for your purpose. You do need an LOD to access the Classic line out.

i have the same cover, and i often lament when people neglect to point it out as an awesome feature in their rig.
.its a great shock absorber.. not that i ever drop my clip..
and, it grips my belt so that the player doesnt slide around.

Any ideas on who would be able to make a nice looking/sounding LOD for about $50?
Thanks
Phil

just look at the DIY threads on head-fi, they're pretty straight forward. If you don't want to DIY, then you can always get one from moon-audio. I'm pretty sure they're charging 60. The "for sale" section and ebay are also good sources to look for a good LOD

I concur, though one of his criterion was nice looking and Fiio's is rather plain..

FiiO LODs are not robust at all. I went through a couple of L1's before I got an iBasso LOD which is flexible unlike the FiiOs.

It's all in the eye of the boholder.
I find plain and simple very attractive, others go for the blingy viablu stuff.

The L1 is a pile of crap and doesn't measure up to their other LODs. Should not be used as the example for a FiiO LOD. Black sheep of the family.
Also, I love their looks...Nice and plain. The L9 went extremely well with my RxMk2 and Black Classic.

I agree. The L9 is a nice looking LOD that stays out of the way when connected to my Arrow 12HE. I also have no complaints about its SQ.
