The 1015PN sounds perfectly fine with Ubuntu/PulseAudio/Audacious, no background noise at all, and no issues driving dynamic IEMs (high output impedance looks bad for multi-armature IEMs, but isn't really audible). Some RMAA tests: http://rmaa.elektrokrishna.com/index.php?dir=&search=eee&search_mode=f - It doesn't measure 'great', but good enough.

I've actually been surprised at the headphone out quality of my 1005PE netbook running Windows 7 and using WASAPI with Foobar 2k. It sounds very clean and inoffensive with all of the headphones and IEMs I've used with it.

The clips are for connecting power cables to the battery.
The clips are a temporarily solution, I am going to find a better solution in near future.
