Well, my new addition (mini3) is much better than I had anticipated so here is my portable/transportable library/studying rig:

The rca cable I used to make the rca to mini is a very old cheapo cable.  Everything sounds great, and with the T50RP, I think I actually prefer the mini3 to my m-stage.  I'll still keep the m-stage for my 600 ohm beyers, at least until I decide to try my hand at building a M^3 +sigma 11.

Much thanks, the second pic was actually rather blurred due to my camera's tendency to overexpose things. Just got the Headstage today, and I am liking what I am hearing. :)

I clipped my fuze to my fostex T-50 (with some rubberbands), and made an interconnect from some broken earbuds and coaxial cable (rescued from a TV mfd. in 1977). I proudly wear this to class almost everyday.

I will upload pictures once I get a working camera, or can borrow some AA batteries.

Sold my iPad, replaced it with the Xoom.  Sounds great and doesn't get laggy when playing lossless files.  The update really changed the personality of this beast, and I can't wait to get the 4G upgrade from Motorola in June.  I usually use PowerAmp, but this shot is the stock Android music app, which sounds very good.

Why not 4th gen

They mentioned the 4G being comparatively, while the current one would give a very tight bass. Tight is my kind of soundsignature, I prefer clarity and what I perceive to be an accurate reproduction rather than the thump and added attack given by too much bass which overrepresents the source file.
EDIT: If you were referring to the iPod touch then it is because the newly acquired item I was referring to is the headstage amp rather than the iPod :)
