Congrats for your nice Sony MDR R 10
These two headphone Sony MDR R 10 and Sony Qualia 010 are my dream headphones .
Only these two headphones I have not heard before

Hope you get to hear them one day.  The R10 is much more difficult to drive than the Qualia.  Both headphones are just wonderful sounding though but the R10 still hold on to its crown though.

Man...MDR-10 is like sighting Bigfoot!

Congrats!

I have this pair since 2006, so R10s have been commonly seen in my household.  They sound better than they look IMO.  With the right amp, everything just sound so beautiful coming out of them.

What, I thought 'phones had to be ugly to sound good?

The workmanship on them is out of this world to be honest.  I intend to keep mine in a tip-top shape for many years to come.  Only the L3000 has a better craftsmanship IMO.

While the R10's do sound kind of nice, they certainly don't sound nearly as good as the juicy bosoms they resemble

Unfortunately my TT has been pushed back a few weeks (considering just going with a different table) so I wouldn't know, but the tracks on the them are fantastic (The set comes with downloads on the LP tracks). Favorite being the one with both Noisia remixes and the Eskamon release.

It's the best music related purchase I've made this year. Framing the 4 art squares soon.

Kudos on that Amon Tobin box set. I kinda really want a copy of my own. I'm willing to bet those vinyl's sound fantastic through those 009's.

Ahaha.

Yes. They are RECORDS, or LP's. they are NOT "vinyls".

I wonder what I should call the stack of Laserdiscs in the basement?

CDs or CD collection?
The problem is that "vinyl" is not a singular noun. Vinyl is a collection/plural, like saying "my stack of vinyl over there". Saying "my vinyls" is like saying "Look at all those peoples over there!" It just doesn't make sense. Now you can do that with CDs though, so feel free.
