whats the purpose of those wooden cubes under the cables ?



Cable lifters, purpose?... no idea but I like these ones.

Thank guys, don't make too much of the cable lifters. Just something I thought I'd do since I have put in a lot of effort into the whole setup.

Cable lifters are usually used for RFI and/or EMI that comes from the static of wool and acrylic carpets. Blocks of wood, probably won't stop vibrations that come from speaker vibrations.
 
There are cable lifters that have rubber feet or ball bearings that help aide in the vibrations. People do use Maplewood to stop vibrations under certain parts of components (somewhere like underneath the transport or transformers inside CD players, but I believe that is snake oil. I'm not sure if there are any stats that actually prove the difference in the measurement of the waveforms with and without.

Stats, and measurements. Their is a whole thread on that 80 pages long or whatever. I also agree that its snake oil
