Haven't posted a pic of my system in a while -- quite a few changes over the last year.

Just received my active tube stage from Hattor Audio which is below the Khozmo passive preamp (sister company to Hattor). Dipping my toe into Tubes and am loving it so far.

Love the sculpted Denon faceplates, @Quinto !

Folks with turntables - I see a lot of us have been placing our tables on tower style racks, often in small-ish rooms and/or near the speakers. Man, did this setup cause me headaches in my (new-ish) office system! It's a small room with VERY springy wood floors over a crawl space. Ever since January I've been fighting with egregious sensitivity to footfalls and feeback from speakers even causing amp clipping. Audiophile footers (ISOAcoustics, Herbie's Audio Lab) under the speakers / table /rack didn't help AT ALL. I even brought over my SOTA Nova V (4-point hung spring suspension) and even THAT was getting swamped by energy. What FINALLY helped was to brace the rack against a wall. Preferably a structural wall. I used a combination of semi-rigid panels and some foam (for a bit of compliance == better surface contact) between wall and rack frame, especially towards the top of rack. It's just a simple contact / friction fit. You really want to wedge some material in there tightly. This was at least like a 95% improvement. Also I moved the rack as far from speakers as feasible, down a side wall. I'd like to eventually clean up the look of this but it was a huge difference maker!

This was not a cheap rack either - CMS Sotto Voce. Nice and rigid, high quality materials, but being a tower it needs to be braced & damped to avoid the typical tower ringing when disturbed on a springy floor. My main system uses a CMS Maxxum tower on a much better wood floor, and doesn't need any wall bracing, but that's kind of an over-the-top rack design.

Already posted elsewhere, but here are a few pictures of my stat rig.
I am actually downsizing it a bit, so these are the last pics with all these amazing cans together.

A bit of an update. Added a Active Tube Stage from Hattor Audio after my passive preamp. Adds a bit of tube spice to the signal path. Loving it so far.

What's that interesting black box 2 shelves down from the top?
It’s an AXE FX II: a guitar amp and effects simulator. You can have a huge collection of guitar amps and effects in one box and the quality is superb. Very convenient for a small apartment.

But it has nothing to do with the headphone rig.

plug it into your headphones rig and turn the tube distortion up to 11 :sunglasses:
