Sorry for the misunderstanding, yes the Galaxy S4 or Note 2..maybe 3 if it is out by then.

For 65 dollars these would make some awesomely cheap ciems through Fisher Audio. I think they charge under 100 don't they? Plus the cable would be upgraded as well. Do these things ever straighten out?

Intersting, it would really make awesome ciems...wondering how filtters will be used with ciems, they will no longer be requried?

I would still like SQ of grey fillers with ciems

That's exactly what I would want to be able to use the filters. I have emails out to fisher(inearz) and inearcustom to see if this is possible.

Good..let us know the outcome

Sure thing. Hopefully this is possible. Picking up the pfe 012 for 65 and if the filter replacement is possible it would cost around 105 to have fisher remold them. 170 for a phonak ciem plus the cost of a cable, hopefully they use the standard Westone socket as I would rather pick up a different cable.

Looks like I've found a deal killer for the PFE 012s.
The warranty for this series is only one year.

This item is covered under 1 year  international warranty.

Trust ME, you are going to want a 2  year warranty for the PFE series.
I received 2 replacement pairs of my 112s between 2009-2010.

Pick up the 122s or 132s for the extra year of warranty coverage.
The PFEs have a high failure rate.

How do they tend to fail?

There was a known issue with version 0 that caused failures in parts of the cable and the plastic hoising sonetimes cracked. They fixed these issues with version 1. On the box there sould be a v1 listed next to the barcode if you have the new version. I haven't heard of any problems with V1 personally.

If bass is only upgrade from 132 to 232 then I am not interested in upgrade. I need to send back 232 unopened box for full refund otherwise 15% restocking fee.

Wanted to know if 232 is upgrade on entire spectrum or just bass alone…I am looking for better soundstage and bass from 232.

For some reason the left earphone of the PFE tends to short out after several months of use.
Thankfully, I was able to arrange a hassle free warranty exchange with the U.S. Phonak Distributor Hearing Planet in September of 2009 and October of 2010.
I should note that the replacement pair of 112s I received in October of 2010 are still going strong, although they haven't been my main earphone since June of 2012.

Hearing Planet had a representative on Head-Fi by the name of Bill. I wonder if he is still around?

hi there i was wondering how often you have to change the filters say i like the grey ones, how long do they last until u have to change them... i'm asking cause audeo is discontinuing their headphones, so if i figured if i want a pair i have to get a good amount of filters before they sell out

So I just got the PFE122s and I gotta say I expected a little more from these IEMs, with a MSRP of 140$ or so (got em for 80, so I can't complain at this price point)

My initial impressions are that the PFE was pretty fast across the frequency spectrum with nice sparkly highs. On the other hand, vocal detail seemed a bit lacking compared to high end IEMs such as the EX1000 and esp the W4. In addition, I really didn't like the bass of the PFE; the bass just too lean and the decay was too fast to be natural IMO. Finally, imaging seemed very good but soundstage was just okay.

Overall just a bit disappointed because other IEMs such as the TF10 and X10 cost about the same and had unique qualities that the PFE doesn't have IMO. The TF10 had the mid detail of the PFE and much better bass and soundstaging, while losing in imaging. Not a fan of the X10, but I feel like the X10 can appeal to many with its warm sound sig and fast bass (not as lean as the PFE), whereas I don't feel the same way with the PFE.
