I replaced the stock with an excellent Honeywell A5 Premium Cable (Lifetime Warranty).

Those are both pretty cool looking cables for the X2.

I'm using one of these in red http://v-moda.com/audio-only-cable/

It is just describing the section you hold when you insert the plug. As you can see it steps down to allow the plug to better fit in phone/MP3, etc phone cases. It works great, trust me.

Haha ! I thought it relates to quality.. :) good to hear though.

Monoprice has similar looking cables as Mediabridge but are a lot cheaper... I'm a little bit concerned about the build quality. Which one do you think is better ?

I considered monoprice too. The majority of my other cables in my home theater are monoprice. I am sure those will be fine too. I wanted a 4 foot cable and if I remember right monoprice didn't have one. And I have Amazon prime so free 2 day shipping is better than monoprice week long shipping from CA.

The monoprice one I am talking about is http://www.monoprice.com/mobile/Product/Details/11502?mainCategoryId=102&categoryId=10218&subCategoryId=1021820&cpnCd=

Get what length works for you at the price that works monoprice or mediabridge.

I've also been looking for a replacement cable for the X2's and I'm wondering if there are any good 3.5mm to 6.3mm cables that would be suitable as a replacement cable. I don't like the 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter and it would be nice to get rid of that.

I am using these and they are great, with Neutrik/Rean plugs:

But I do not know if cables from Cordial are avaiable outside the EU.
