The photo below should explain what I mean:

As you can see, the X2 looks different from the X1 (now clad in all black), and is priced about four times as much as the X1 (about $1300 USD). Clicking on the link will just redirect you to the X1 page, so apparently the X2 is yet to be released. Anyone else have anything on these possible Summit-Fi cans?

UPDATE: These cans are apparently only just under 300 euros, which should lift the hopes of interested buyers.

Wow, a summit-fi priced can from Philips? I'm somewhat intrigued... Though I like the look of the X1 better.

I was about to order the X1 but with this news I'll just hang on.
I cannot imagine it would cost $1000 whereas the X1 is about euro200 around here (Netherlands).
First message on here btw, looking forward to read and contribute.

I'm skeptical about this one, as it looks like they changed nothing from the X1, except the color scheme. If Philips STILL hasn't addressed the pads being non-removable after ALL the complaints everywhere online, then they don't deserve a penny.

Those new drivers better give eargasms upon first listen at that ridiculously high price.

Wow, surprising price, especially considering such a similar design. Everyone and their granny thinks they can release a 1000 buckaroo headphone, this category has snowballed like hell over the last years. Philips X1 was such a good value for your hard-earned $$$, this has to compete with the likes of the HE6, LCD2 and will by quite a way be more expensive than the T1, AD, HE560. Interesting to see if they can pull it off.
