Philips Fidelio X2?!

They aren't OEM pads, so who knows if the sound will be the same.
Going by the ad description though, I can say for a fact the eardpads on my X2 aren't "Material: flannel + sponge"

I doubt they're actually flannel, probably a translation issue. Flannel is not exactly a common pad material and they don't look flannel from the photos. Still might not be OEM, though they certainly look closer than other replacements I've seen

I too doubt it, in the pictures they doesn't look flannel at all and the earpads are cheap too considering OEM earpads usually cost a kidney.
They look like cloths, or cotton? And more than 10 available also raises alarm too.

I ordered these already and will report.

"more than 10 available" is reason for concern? I do expect them to be mass-manufactured and not hand-woven by chinese grandmas. In the end there were definitely more than 10 Philips headphones manufactured, too.

It's entirely possible the seller got their hands on a bunch of OEM pads. Despite Philips' apparent unwillingness to make them easy to buy there's a factory out there somewhere making a ton of X2 earpads

Anyone have this headphone and HD800S can compare the soundstage ?

HD800s sound more spacious, more holographic, that’s obvious. X2 sound very large (larger than many headphones) but is limited in term of depth and imaging: having said that, X2 is more musical than HD800s (which is always « analyzing » music).

I've tried many headphones and none of them surpass the X2 soundstage. I think HD800S will be my next. As much as i like the soundstage and 1.5k hz bite (sounds fun with electro guitars), i find X2 weak in a lot of fronts like sub bass, imaging, treble. My 770 more resolving and less fatiguing than these. I hope i will not find HD800S boring. I enjoy detail, treble and soundstage though.

x2 vs sony ma900: sony sounds more fatiguing after a few hours, x2 haven't made it fatiguing yet

Is it page 1000 yet?
Legend has it the person who rolls over to 1000 will be blessed with a lifetime of earpads:grinning:
It better be OEM earpads!!!

HD800s is the most impressive headphone I had, if it fit your taste you’ll be hard to get better.
