It's shorter than the Fidelio one? I might have to pick it up.
Yep, it's 1.8m (6ft), flexible, light and less microphonic. Looks great in red too.

The problem with the v-moda cable is that it has inconsistent impedance. I would go with a mediabridge, kabledirect, or monoprice one.

I'm running my X2 with the Vmoda Boom mic out of the front headphone/mic port of my computer. Is that not going to give me optimum sound?
Is there any credible source for this claim? Tyll measured 0.5 Ohm on his and it was generally recommended as a good replacement cable for X1.
How does that work?
SOmeone mentioend the monoprice or an Anker Cable...
which do you prefer?

Just because he measured .5 ohms on his doesn't mean they all measure 0.5 ohms.
I have a 4-ft Anker cable and a 10-fr Monoprice cable. Both are well made. For portable use, I should have gotten one with a right angle, though.
3.5mm cables are practically the same; the main differences are build quality and microphonics.
Three posts from the same dude claiming that "some people have reported some cables having resistance almost as bad as the X1's cable". Again not mentioning the source, providing actual measurement data or whatnot. Hmm... Sounds like someone's personal anecdote blown out of proportion (we know how Internet works), rather than something statistically significant.
Should the VMODA cable sound a lot better than the stock cable when we switch them?
I don't expect any changes in sound. I bought the replacement cable for the practical reasons.
