Philips Fidelio X2?!

It's shorter than the Fidelio one? I might have to pick it up.

Yep, it's 1.8m (6ft), flexible, light and less microphonic. Looks great in red too.

For those of you looking for a nice replacement cable, take a look at Mediabridge: http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B004LTEUDO/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1450227220&sr=1-2&keywords=Mediabridge

I have been using it for a few months now. Connected to my FiiO x3ii/e12a.

The problem with the v-moda cable is that it has inconsistent impedance.  I would go with a mediabridge, kabledirect, or monoprice one.

How does that work?

SOmeone mentioend the monoprice or an Anker Cable...

which do you prefer?

Is there any credible source for this claim? Tyll measured 0.5 Ohm on his and it was generally recommended as a good replacement cable for X1.

I'm running my X2 with the Vmoda Boom mic out of the front headphone/mic port of my computer. Is that not going to give me optimum sound?

If the question is about vmoda+boompro, then no, the cable is pretty good afaik.

If the question ia running the x2 from computer front headphone out, it's not optimal, at the very least there will be emi interference even if you are happy with the sound

Just because he measured .5 ohms on his doesn't mean they all measure 0.5 ohms.

I have a 4-ft Anker cable and a 10-fr Monoprice cable. Both are well made. For portable use, I should have gotten one with a right angle, though.

3.5mm cables are practically the same; the main differences are build quality and microphonics.

Three posts from the same dude claiming that "some people have reported some cables having resistance almost as bad as the X1's cable". Again not mentioning the source, providing actual measurement data or whatnot. Hmm... Sounds like someone's personal anecdote blown out of proportion (we know how Internet works), rather than something statistically significant.

Thanks!  Which ones have the best microphonics or I guess in this case "least microphonics?"

I bought the VMODA hopign it would be better, but after reading some of the comments on the above first link Idk....

I'm a newbie, so for someone like me I might not understand what's going on, but one thing for sure is, I have great ears, so if it can be heard, I will most likely be able to hear it.

The question is... Would we notice the difference if the cable was a "lemon?"

Should the VMODA cable sound a lot better than the stock cable when we switch them?

I don't expect any changes in sound. I bought the replacement cable for the practical reasons.

+1
Any changes, if there are any, should be very minor.
I would still stick with mediabridge/monoprice/kabeldirect ones just for piece of mind, though (also because they're cheaper
>.<).
