Should I get the brainwavz m4 without mic for $28 or phiaton ps 20 half in ear (glossy white) for $38?  I like to listen to mainly rock music and some electronic/house/dubstep/trance.  Also what would work better with Fiio E11 is another consideration as I do own that.  Sound quality is my biggest concern.  I prefer songs to be slightly more bassy but also be able to have clear crisp treble, pertaining to the highs in percussion instruments - mild V-shaped equalizer curve but maybe a bit of a larger lift more towards left focused toward 80 hz.  How do they compare?  Or any other bang for the buck IEM you know of that beats those (I'm a budget audiophile)?  Thanks for the help :)

Budget Audiophile???

Does that mean that you want the best bang for your buck? Of course it does.

Have a look at the Etymotic MC5 headset.

I would not suggest mc5 to your music. I found both them and the M4 to be pretty boring and seriously lacking bass (especially mc5). Also the mc5 are much more expensive.

Take a look at vsonic gr99 or gr02BE, these should be good for your kind of music.
