Penon Globe has landed! I initially thought it was meh. On first listen they were kinda dark sounding. I put them down, let the DAP play for a few hours. Well, surprise surprise. No, they're not dark. Not sure if the fit wasn't good the first time, but these sound fantastic now! Sound profile is reminiscent of the ISN H40; intimate whilst having that holographic vibe, encapsulating music throughout, thumpy midbass. Only difference probably would be the better depth and richer mids here on the Globe. It's too early to tell actually. I need to let these burn in for some more hours. Good thing the addictive vocals and nicely textured bass from Orb are still here. More sparkles up top make these better of course. This is a winner! More impressions soon.

You were on point on your review, @Dsnuts. Those looking for an upgrade for their ISN H40 should try the Globe. I also feel like this is the step up, next level, same bloodline, the upgrade.

Globe definitley uses more premium drivers hense the cost difference. But otherwise it is in that wheel house sound signature wise.

Hi, I´ve been eyeing the Globes as an upgrade to the H40. How do they compare in size and comfort? Which one protrudes more?
TIA, Jose

These are smaller I think, so that's a much better fit. Shorter nozzles too which the ePro medium or large are perfect for. Aside from the sound upgrade, another good news is that there's no driver flex here (which I hated the most on the H40).

All (4) DD from the Penon range don't have flex / suction effect upon insertion, the Sphere being (1) BA.
Concerning shell profile the Globes are even smaller compared to the previously smallest shell - the Sphere.Hi, I´ve been eyeing the Globes as an upgrade to the H40. How do they compare in size and comfort? Which one protrudes more?

∴ The Globes are the smallest profile in the current Penon range...

Best feeling ever! Give it time, I’m sure the Globe will open up more.Penon Globe has landed!
That’s a fantastic looking spc cable!
From specs it looks like the Orbit is much beefier with 616 vs 392 strands.
Though the OS849 contains 8% or 10μm plated silver, I think the sheer amount of strands on the Orbit will likely contain more silver, just guessing.
Anyone here has both the Orbit & OS849?

I’ve got a question if you don’t mind as I’m curious to find out the diameter of those inverted ePros.
The medium is listed as 12.3mm across as is, does the small measures 12+ mm after the mod?
Cheers

The size M as shown is @ 12, 12.3mm. @ most
Whilst the size S IS NO larger than 11mm.
(pls excuse the micro dust particles, that virtually cannot be seen thro' the naked eye)
I see, to confirm, so there’s no changes in size after the inverse? The size M as shown is @ 12, 12.3mm. @ most

No changes in outer diameter. But why inverse? To increase the diameter of the output nozzle, Epros have that distinct Horn pofiled section that significantly impact the sound output. Better than the typical straight profiled sections found in all tips. The "sounding" result says it all...I see, to confirm, so there’s no changes in size after the inverse?
