Takes about a minute to render each screen. It's not actually playable while rendering the screen though, because it blows up the scene into super high resolution, then renders it in chunks the size of your screen resolution.

Apparently it's a function built into UE3 games. You can activate it like so:

Still piss poor value though at $650, but I guess we're about six months off from moving up the price/performance curve.

I can't see myself upgrading from 2x 7970's for a while, I think I can play just about any title short of Crysis 3 on super duper max.

It's been almost 3 months, and I've made about $1300 from bitcoins/whatevercoin mining so far, not too shabby at all, the cards have paid themselves off and then some. I'm still chugging along at ~$10-12 a day. The rig has been mining 24/7 since I started, no hiccups yet!

So, I've got to ask: Did you actually get that much money in USD or do you just have that value of bitcoins? Converting it into actual usable cash seems like a PITA and that's the reason I dropped the idea of mining a while ago.

I'd like to know this as well, and how to you go about converting bitcoins into cash?

Would a 7950 still be profitable?
