That's an absolute steal at that price!. If I didnt have a pair, I'd be all over that deal.

Oh what the heck, $20 bucks for a spare pair, why not

Too bad for me - I have 2 pairs I bought way back when.........anyhow, an idea for some newcomers - de-pod them (there are plenty of posts covering it), and team them with a 1st gen. Shuffle (1gig usually $35-39 these days). You get incredibly low cost, great convenience, and SQ way beyond expectations. Oh, and I've liked Shure tips on them - in my case the Shure Softflex. To kill microphonics - simply tuck the cable under your shirt.

Hmm, just sold mine but at $20 and no shipping, I must have a pair for kicks. $20, are you kidding me? Now, I have to sell the 616s, but not on head-fi (as he seeks out an unsuspecting friend still using ibuds). Maybe newegg is hooked up with the Soprano family or something (fell off a truck?). More likely, these things are going to disappear soon, as inventories on the discontinued 716s dwindles.

I don't like tri-tips, do they come with foamies too? I bought 4, thanks for the heads up.

Yes, one pair of black Ety foamies. But you can also use Complys (foamies, in thin, short or standard) or Shure soft flex (not the black olives) with the 716s. The Shure soft flex are soft silicone, an alternative to flanges.

People who are in Toronto, Canada... PM me if you want a few pairs, I may be able to get a friend to ship up a "couple" of pairs. (we can discuss w/e then)

I have two backup pairs coming my way. Excessive...yes, but that's hell of deal.

For those who don't know, the drivers in these phones are made by Etymotic and their sound is really close to the ER4 series. From personnal experience, I'd say about 90% close, but with a more fun sound and a little bit more bass. At 20$, this is a no-brainer.
