$35,000 is nothing compared to these, and they don't even come with a beautiful amp!

"I've decided to offer my Sennheiser Orpheus System with two pair of headphones. Email me for details and pictures if you are interested.

Included:
1x HE90-best condition because this item is unused - Rating 10/10
1x HE90-very good condition because this item is nearly unused Rating 9/10
1x HEV90-very good condition because this item is nearly unused - Rating 8/10
1x wood box - in very good condition - for one HE90

Price New was:
45000 Deutschmark = 22500 Euro = 35000 USD plus inflation rate

I will offer the 10/10 rated HE90 standalone for 12000 USD.
I will offer the 9/10 rated HE90 standalone for 10000 USD. "

Well... it isn't quite 35k for one pair of headphone, rather for 2 headphones, an amp and a box. It's 10k for one headphone and if the spanish team wins you could make a deal with a spain head-fi'er to get 3k off bringing the price down to 7k which would probably be below jahn's price considering inflation.

when he said he would drop the price 3k i think he was referring to the total package, not for just one headphone. also, i think he was joking about that part (because spain will definitely win

With regard to Audio-Omega's question:
"When is the next batch coming ?"

Jan Meier told me that Sennheiser was able to produce the 30-odd second batch of HE90s out of parts in inventory.
He said that since there is no leftover parts inventory for the phones, there will be no future producton of the HE90s.

Holy Cow.

The question is... do they sound $35,000 good?
I'm highly skeptical.

At $35,000 theyre a total rip off.
They should be $34,000 for sure.
Damn shiesters.
