That IEM is an Oriolus Reborn version with improved shell finishing (using German imported material) and some minor design differences.
Reborn version will have the nozzle like my right hand side one, and as you can see in this Reborn LTD Edition.
Anybody heard or seen info on the Finschi HiFi version. I like the cable elements change as far as straight plug, slider, and ear guide material, Nice colors too. Just haven't seen how they have changed the tuning. I'd assume from "HiFi" they mean more balanced than the original but interested to hear how it really turned out.
Penon is bare bones and kinda vague...
"Difference between Oriolus Finschi and Oriolus Finschi HiFi Version
Oriolus Finschi:the sound is wide and comfortable, for the one who need better atmosphere
Oriolus Finschi HiFi Version: the sound is Exquisite and stereo, for the one who need better resolution"
Mk2 driver flex mitigated by using foams - or slow insertion removal if using silicone tips. I wish I still had it. Many IEMs later and I'm realizing what I gave up when I sold it. it was a special IEM for sure.
Yes with MK2, since they are identical with Reborn so expect some driver flex yes
But for the 2nd hand price nowadays, it is difficult to ignore these MK2...
I am quite prone to driver flex but have never experienced it with Oriolus Mk2. I think it has to do a lot with how an IEM sits in your ear (e.g. the shape of your ear). If it creates too much of a vacuum and the IEM gets sucked into your ear - you get driver flex.
700 000 Yen??? Wow, that price is absolutely crazy! That is about 6000 Euros or 6500 Dollars! I love Oriolus but I more and more feel that IEM manufactors are getting nuts. When is this madness going to end?

Well, 230k for a cable is just as crazy, no matter if it comes in a set with a 500k earphone or you buy both separately.
There is just no way that development or material costs justify that the price of Oriolus` former (already crazy expensive) flagship got almost tripled (once again)!
I feel the portable audio world is more and more turning into what the expensive watch industry is - a playground for the super rich where status counts more than anything else. Makes me sick. But well, these things have always been part of this world.
