From the requirements you listed, you could also try out JH Lola. Very musical and mid focus.
I find the SE846 quite close to your needs as well. Trying the SE846 out for the last 2-weeks. Very good sound for vocals. Might just be my go-to-IEM now with the best isolation and comfort that I don't have to take out for hours of listening. Could only listen to my Oriolus Mk2 for max an hour due to ear pain/discomfort.
Thanks, but I don't have any possibilities to try the JH Lola and by no means I will buy blindly at that price.
I see you own the gemini and oriolus.. can you help me out and compare them both? You can try Xelento. I've heard the predecessor AK T8iE MKII and it has an engaging, exciting sound. Lots of fun. Another you might want to take a look is Andromeda. Supremely good treble, but watch out for the fit. My ears didn't agree with them.
The rest on your list, I can say that W900 and A12 have less sparkle than Oriolus. W900 excels in bass, soundstage and extension both ends, but the notes are thick and very smooth. You won't get your sparkle fix here. A12 excels in bass and mids, but the treble takes a step back too. Isolation is better with Apex modules rather than the older ADEL modules.
I've only comapred them briefly for about 2 songs, so here's the quick and dirty.I see you own the gemini and oriolus.. can you help me out and compare them both?
I've only comapred them briefly for about 2 songs, so here's the quick and dirty.
Bass: Both have similar subbass, both have elevated midbass with no bleed. Oriolus has more bloom and slower decay, sounds more natural and has a speaker-like quality. Gemini is quicker and tidier, with more bass detail.
Mids: Oriolus is relaxed and laid-back, with a sweet, coloured sound. Doesn't sound 100% natural but it's very easy listening. Good vocals and air around the instruments. Gemini is more upfront and emotive. Very accurate and clear timbre. Both vocals and instruments sound captivating. One of the best mids I've heard.
Treble: Gemini extends further with more sparkle. Oriolus has less detail and "fuzzier" notes at the lower treble. Oriolus is airier too.
Soundstage: Gemini is wide with some depth, very coherent presentation from top to bottom. Oriolus has similar width, but deeper and taller, with good amounts of air and excellent layering. Less coherent because the bass is thicker than the mids and treble.
Overall Gemini is more detailed and fun. Oriolus is more relaxed and romantic.
Ah, thank you very much. I was already more inclined towards the Gemini before this, but now I can say for certain that I would probably go for the Gemini.. at least for nowI've only comapred them briefly for about 2 songs, so here's the quick and dirty.

Actually the sale posting is quite misleading. Outside it is written as Oriolus 1dd+ 3BA.but inside there are two versions and forsteni is not mentioned anywhere.Because they are completely different models.
The 800$ one, with all black shell, named just oriolus, MKII, lately Reborn, has 4 drivers inside (3BA+1DD).
Other one, with silver faceplate and lower price, is called Oriolus Forsteni. Standard price is just 360 USD. Inside 3 drivers (2BA+1DD)
They have different tuning and sound in different league.
