Oriolus Hybrid IEM

Received mine last week and am highly impressed. Best sub $200 earphones I have ever heard. I'm running mine balanced out of a dx200. They sound musical and engaging. Bass is full with great slam when you need it, otherwise it takes a backseat to everything else. Subbass has that great rumbling feel that one gets with the best headphones. Tremble has just the right amount of detail to keep you engaged, sparkly enough but not any way harsh. Vocals sound spot on. Oriolus could have charged 3 times as much and it still would have valued correctly, IMHO.

Just to confirm: it's about the Finschi?
Thanks,

My phone camera also doesn't do it justice. But luckily the sky was clear today, providing a decent light. :)

This is V2 with the Finschi-cable, right?

To me they're tuned quite differently. V2 IMO has a more v-shaped sound signature, while the Finschi is more mid-forward to put it simply. The V2 I feel is slightly more coloured in tone, and less balanced in the mids. Both have a sparkly upper-mid/treble, and powerful dynamic bass. The Finschi having a quieter lower midrange, and a smoother treble, creating a more natural vocal sound to my ears

Have you used them from a phone ? I have a iPhone 6S plus. interested in your thoughts on how the Finschi sound via a phone.

Now you're interested? I ordered a couple days ago! All of it adding up. Read a review comparing them to the Final E5000 and they more nuanced, lively, quicker, and more transparent. Heck they even had enough power for the E5000, better cables, different tips vs. the Oriolus with no cables and only used the tips that were on it. Another one $100 more expensive or above the new bird takes down :wrestlers:. Certainly one that is hard not to try for it's price.

Yes. And of course it resulted with a lower resolution But still enjoyable nonetheless, provided you're not focusing on the details. Otherwise, I'd suggest pairing it with a warm-neutral player to give the vocal notes more body, and maximize the potential of its dynamic bass. It has already enough energy/sparkle in its upper-mid, so I don't really like pairing it with a brighter player.

Not sure if anyone here is familiar with the LZ A5 on this thread but would be curious to know how the Finschi compares. I really like my A5 but after my experience with flying with them with the left driver going out during a really long flight (the driver worked again the next day and no problems since), I'm looking for something possibly in the $150 - $300 range. The comparison to Empire Ears is intriguing.
