Hey guys,

What online audio stores are there that are either based in Australia or ship to Australia (with relatively low shipping costs)?

Can include authorized eBay sellers.

Preferably cheap prices. :p

These are the ones I already know of:

http://headphones.com.au/
http://www.wickeddigital.com.au/
http://www.streetwise.com.au/headphones-c-43_148.html
http://www.audiocubes.com

Thanks in advance!

Darn!  Was going to tell you about your first listing there.  Not trying to be rude, but your question can be answered by using google and the like.  Good luck though.

Besides the ones you mention, some of the Australian DJ stores also have an on-line presence and, depending on the brand, not unreasonable prices.

are two based in Sydney. Both have sales every now and again with reduced prices so you may be best off waiting rather than buying straight up. You may want to check some of the others through a google search.

I've dealt with both Marcus from Headphonic and Steve from Wicked Digital, both are good guys and won't sell you you something that doesn't meet your needs.

Seriously, cheap and Australian are generally not used in the same sentence. Especially wicked digital or hpcomau.

Got a headband replacement for my CD3000 from audiocubes. It took > month to ship and I had to chase them up with emails that they only started replying in about 3 weeks from the first email. f...... appalling
I also heard hpcomau has a dodgy return policy (from projectdenz)

keep in mind:
a) Many audio gear companies only offer warranty where you buy, so you have to send back to the seller country if you have problems and that's either long, expensive or both.
b) Australian sellers generally have very high mark-ups (so does audiocubes)

I gave up on Australian stores. I just buy all my gear from the US and bulk ship it with shipito.com
