Does a Google search for - "silicone" "DP-X1" - return any results for cases other than real or synthetic leather?
 
And the answer is, No.

I just tried that, it returned "About 31,800 results (0.28 seconds)"

There are results for leather & synthetic leather cases, and glass & plastic screen protectors, but I haven't seen results any for silicone cases.

​just my two cents, but I really enjoy the HD650 balanced (and also unbalanced) at home. I'm a person that likes a bit of an emphasis of vocal clarity in songs, and also I'm not a big fan of distant sound stages. just so you know where I'm coming from.
 
If you're going for strictly at home I would opt for an open can.

Perhaps you right, but we cannot be 100% certain, as I'm sure you did not go through 30K+ results returned by google.I was just trying to say, in a very friendly manner, that indicating "why don't you just google for answers..." does not always work. In fact, somewhere on this thread, I believe I saw pics of red case that was not leather, not sure though it was silicone, maybe a hard case.

Sorry if this has already been covered, but has anybody had issues with the DP-X1A connecting to their computer?
 
I just got one today and the PC doesn't detect it, so I can't add any files to it.

On the DAP do you get a pop-up saying something along the lines "USB Connected, select connection mode" ?

I would try couple things:
1. Rebooting your PC
2. Removing any android drivers you might have installed previously
3, Trying with a different PC

I tried the first two, and don't have access to another PC.  It tries to install drivers, but says none are available.
 
Maybe I'll try another PC tomorrow, but mine is generally better than any others that I have access to.

Have you enabled developer mode on the DAP? If so I would try to turn it off and connect to PC again

And one mote thing, maybe you enabled PTP before? Once connected to PC click on settings->storage->then click on 3 little dots in the upper right corner->USB computer connection
