am using sony zx2 as my current DAP..but i find it's a bit heavy and not really travel friendly :(

should i get this as my daily commute companion?...

The DP-X1 is quite large,I wouldn't exactly call it pocket/travel friendly either

i think it's much more slimmer than zx2....

and the pro is it has android 5.1 and can support apple music...zx2 has been stuck with the initial fw forever... :(

i nowadays use spotify more than the default player as i am lazy to get CD and rip music ..

ZX2 is longer, thicker but less wide (6.5 x 13.1 x 1.8 cm), DP-x1 is shorter and thinner but much wider (7.6 x 12.9 x 1.3 cm).  But neither is what I would consider travel and pocket friendly friendly.

DAPs like ZX1, Venturecraft Valoq and new AK70 is what I would consider pocket/travel friendly.

Same, I now use Tidal 70% of the time (even offline).  Good music source is hard to find.  Streaming music has been dp-x1's strongest point.

The most pocket/travel friendly is the mobile phone. DAP has always been a special device for hard core music lovers.

Mmm.......smartphone = pocket friend, yes, true, but how it fits my pocket is item no. 752. SQ is item no. 1 in my prioritization. I'm not going to let my pocket size decide what I should listen to. That's the job of my ears.
