Would using this old, recapped amp be a risk to those fairly easy to drive headphones? Im not a loud listener by any margin but Im afraid I might burn them.

The amp should be fine, but start with no volume and very slowly move the volume knob clockwise to slightly add volume, as the Meze 99 Classics are not really hard to drive and scalability with amps is not quite there.
