I have my dad's really old 1990 onky setup

M-5200 Stereo Power Amplifier
Onkyo P-3200 Pre-amp
and a Onkyo EQ-140

I don't know much about it maybe you guys have an idea?

You could always plug it in and give it a listen and see how you like it.  Given the price of the HA-160, I'd definitely give the Onkyo a shot first.

I have that same Onkyo Power Amp.  I think it sounds GREAT, but it was WAY too loud with my HD650s.  I had no preamp or anything, just straight into it from my computer.  I also got a lot of background hiss and noise.  I prefer my Little Dot MKV to it, but I wouldn't say that the Onkyo sounds bad at all.  I would still be using it if I didn't get a great deal on the LD.

Yeah it sounds nice, I just want to know which one is better

only way to know if you audition one side by side cause lot of people impressions are different. if you love the sound out the onkyo keep using it till you feel you need something else.
