Thank you.Looks quite nice
So far, not great.
It does not play my DSD256 files properly, since it says it 32 bit PCM, and i output noise.
The regular PCM 16 bit... It tells me it's 24 bit althogh I know it's just 16 bit.
Well, I have to check my settings of my Auralic aries G1, and new Okto dac, tommorw.

Please share your impressions later, seems Like a quite affordable all in one solution.Mine has finally arrived!
Looks actually really nice, aesthetically.
I also like the wireless dongle
Which output voltage did you specify upon order?

@ThanatosVI i specified 230v option.
Early impressions is this dac reminds me of my Benchmark DAC3B / matrix audio X-Sabre pro.
Only have a few hrs on it, but so far, it is extremely detailed. Everything sounds really clear. However, it does sound a bit or anaemic thin sometimes, especially in the mids.
I managed to do a quick a/b with my Rockna Wavelight and I know for sure I definitely prefer the Wavelight right now. I played songs I'm familiar with and that natural lushness and weight in the mids and low ends I'm accustomed to with the Rockna is just not there with the Okto.
Will give it some more play time over the weekend before I decide if I'm gg to keep it or not.

Also the Wavelight is too hard of a competition. It's hard to beat in its own price Segment. Therefore the battle should be pretty one sided.
@ThanatosVI i didn't configure the output so it is default 4.1vrms.

How on earth did you get it that fast. I ordered my unit #281 in December, and got just a week ago. I known #283 is a black unit with streaming, like yours, but it's not shipped out yet.Just got an email saying my unit has shipped out! Order #321
Did you send them one mail every day, until they had enough?

I too noticed this dac didn't always ship out in order of purchase date. While waiting for mine I saw on a forum a later purchase date date dac had been delivered. I immediately contacted Okto, by the end of that day or next my dac shipped! Squeaky wheel gets greased?
@hampestampe lol
I did email them at 4 weeks to check. And they said delayed another 3 to 4 weeks. So I emailed after a month or so, and they said parts issue. So I emailed a few weeks later to check and they said they'd ship it out in a week or so, which they did.

Hello so sad Okto dac8 is not that popular due to high demand of its competitors and also people are into that analog dacs, those multibit NOS/r2r dacs.
