So how does it sound?

I'd love to read some owner impressions. Don't know if the AE-2 benefits at all from "burn in", but even if it does, interim notes would be interesting, too.

I agree. Is this the only one out there or are other people keeping mum about it?

AE-2 has arrived, thanks Justin!
This is copper body, brushed gold knob and green led (sorry, hidden from the pic). Justin installed AD8397 on the AE-2 without the amplifier module.

Did you ask for an 8397 instead of the amplifier module? Or is this the new standard configuration?

I did not ask Justin to install the AD8397 instead of the amplifier module at all, so I wonder this is the new standard configuration.

What is the current status on AE-2, does Justin accept orders?
Looks like the web site wasn't updated. Did anyone else receive AE-2?
How does it compare to Hornet M?
Earlier reviews of older AE-1 somewhat favored it over Hornet.

Thanks

I listened to an AE-1 and did not think it was as good as a Hornet. JMO.

I know you can order AE-2's by placing an AE-1 order on Justin's website. I don't know what the deal with delivery is, though. I was tempted to order one, but really wanted to hear some other comments first before I pulled the trigger.

I ordered one on Headamp's site 2 days ago and I spoke with Justin this morning about it. He said he would be shipping my AE2 in about a week. The price is the same as the AE1.

What exactly was changed from previous version?
Where did that big amplifier module go?

After

And I am pretty sure I read a bunch of impressions here favoring it over Hornet, that must have been non M version.
Did anyone have a chance to compare M version with new AE-2?
Thanks in advance.

Ooh is this a game and I get an AE2 as a prize?

1. It's hiding underneath, along with the blue caps.

2. It was an empty box containing mountian air.

3. It's now too small for the human eye to see.

4. I give up.

j/k
