Dogfish Head - 90 min Imperial IPA
- Malty-Hoppy aromatics, bit of spicy hops
- Malty, caramel, honey taste with pine/juniper berry hops taste
- I would also guess there is brown sugar & vanilla in this also
- Wow, this is different than what I thought it would be...
- I was guessing it was face twisting & malty alcoholy bitter..but it's not
- I kind alike this! not flowery hoppy, but brown sugar/vanilla tasting
- I would buy this again, 8/10

Northern Lights - Amber Ale (4.75% ABV)
- Pretty much no aromatics, but lots of CO2 head when poured
- Light-moderate honey taste, fairly clean aftertaste
- light~medium body, CO2 feel
- Hmmm, pretty good for a non-hoppy beer, I would get it again, 6.5/10

Yeah me too. Bought some Sam Adams Imp. Stout yesterday. Not quite as good as Rasputin or some others, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

If any of you recall, I was complaining a while ago that there weren't any local bars that sold decent beer at a decent price. I finally found one, 2$ premium domestic/import pints during happy hour.

I had a bell's two fisted, which was supremely clean tasting. It tasted similar to the bottles I had before, but just a little cleaner with stronger carbonation. I also had a strongbow cider, which was also nice. It was a little drier and less sweet than I recall from sampling the can's long ago.

Either way, it was nice to come out of the bar with a short bill and a belly full of the good stuff.

Arrogant person Ale is seriously where it's at. St. Pauli Girl is another great one I've been enjoying a lot recently.

just got one of the last cases of Hop Slam IPA in the mail last week - PHENOMENAL! I really wish it was brewed year around. It's made the top of my list of favorite beers along with Arrogant person Ale, Stone Ruination IPA, and Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, and may be my favorite of all atm. It has a great grapefruit-like crispy finish to it, and is incredibly easy to drink for being 10% abv. I don't usually like fruity beer that much, and beer brewed with honey even less, but there is something just perfect about the combination of flavors in this beer. Next season I'm going to stock up several cases of this stuff before it's gone.
