For the first time since High School in the 1980s, I started listening just now to The Doors. God, they were good. But part of the pleasure is the sound: when I last listened to them it was on a cassette or vinyl. I don't remember which, but suffice it to say that my gear was crap. I didn't even have a real Sony Walkman, just some cheap knock off I bought at Kmart. So now it's Tidal, and I've got me some HD650s. I swear I never heard a lot of what I'm hearing now :). Tones. Timbres. Color. Dimensions. Good stuff.
