I dont hate it, just think that it's pretty boring and unimaginative. Looks like it was done by a techie, all function and not much form. Of course this just a highly subjective opinion.

But then, if it sounds as good as the specs suggest I'll consider it because the price is reasonable and seems to do well in the transportable category (small enough and good battery)

It's kinda growing on me, doesn't look bad anymore,  just plain. But the screen does look tiny against the black frame and width of the dap.

No need for that. Just use classical button arrangement, like for example the xduuo x2. Thats it. No more needed.
