Obscure Chinese DAPs

  wonder if they have a updated version for colorfly c3 too. Really great sound quality but the ui is such a let down.

You guys should really try the Oriver O8. I loved my C3, but the Oriver is more detailed and has better bass, detailed and hard hitting. And for half the price. And, yes, the UI sucks a bit less.

As long as they make one with an usable equalizer. Some people would ask for a better UI also.

That too. At least the volume buttons.

Really, if Colorfly are to improve thier current C3 they need to decrease the amount of low end roll-off it delivers with low impedance IEM. It's quite noticeable compared to player that measures flat (or close too). Ck4 had the worst roll-off I've heard from its headphone out and I believe thier C4 also suffers to some extent.

Doesn't look bad, at least to me, but I can't deny it has adopted major design elements of the FiiO X5, A&K 120, Chozy Alien, Colorfly C4 and HiFiMan 700. Well, let's better say it got inspired by them.

I guess the problem will be more noticeable with certain cans and music styles. The C4 I heard was loaded with things like Armin Van Beuren and the like, and I played it with my Momentums. I had no chance to try it with other styles. But I loved the way it looks.

According to that post, the Eros is equipped with WM8740 as its D/A chiip and AD8397as op-amp.
