Said it before but if you can get to £100 go get the shanling m0 from the likes of amp3 (10 percent works to bring it down to £89 using 10stay code at check out) amazon or hifiheadphones in the uk. No wait time and decent back up service afterwards (amp3 had one shanling m0 for £77 on box open offer a while back so might be worth keeping an eye out).

I don't live in the UK anymore so I will be buying from China no matter what. Thanks for the advice anyway.

To be honest I am currently looking more and more at the Zishan DSD. Some very good reviews, and it's pretty DIY friendly which I always like as a bit of a tinkerer.

I’d love to read actual reviews of the Zishan DSD but all I can find are very brief impressions and tons of posts dissecting the minutiae of the thousands of variants and upgrades.

Where have you read actual reviews? :grinning:

The shape looks nice for sure, though the sound is the important part... :)

I have an entire article with some interesting DAPs on sale, although not many from Ali. Most I've noticed with good deals were either from MusicTeck USA, or from hifiheadphones.co.uk

There's definitely some you'd want to look into, including some entry-level Shanling M2s, and some midrange Cayin N5ii, and also some high-end DAPs like Opus #2 with almost 50% of their price cut off!!!

I bought one and it was terrible, sounded like trash, had an enourmous noise floor, and pops so loudly that your ears hurt when you press play and turn it on and off.
I returned it. DO NOT BUY IT BUYER BEWARE.
IT IS TRASH!!!

Don’t tempt me! I wonder if @mbwilson111 still uses her AP60 II? I’m eying the AP60 PRO.

I have not used it in a long time. I keep meaning to but I keep going back to my Cayin N3 and now I am enjoying my iBasso DX120 so much. The AP60 II is a really nice little DAP if you need something small and pocketable. I confess that I rarely take my music out of the house.... Ok, I will admit... I never have... lol...except in the back garden...

Now you have made me want to get it out and use it more:) My other tiny DAP is the Ruizu A50 which I have actually used more in spite of it not having gapless play. I just don't put albums on it that require that. The AP60 II is a much better DAP overall.

Anybody know anything about dodocool or nintaus players?

Yesterday: I don't need another dap.
Today: I just purchased the ap60 pro.

Is that better than the AP60 II? About the same price today.

So then a question for any of the experts out there..
Hidizs AP60 II at $71.
Hidizs AP60 Pro at $77
Xduoo X3 II at $100 (have to say I always liked using Rockbox)

Which one would you buy/recommend?

There is also the Hidizs AP200 for $179 but I my idea was not to spend more than $110.
And there is also Xduoo X20 at $208.. also out of my budget..
