So I'm not that savy when it comes to computer audio. With that said, I'd like to think that the uDac will work on my Macbook Pro and that it's as easy as plugging it into a USB on the Mac and then plugging in my speakers to the uDac.
I can't say how it will perform on the Macbook Pro, but my Linux machine USB would not recognize the uDAC. Only once out of many tries did it ever connect.
Perhaps it will be different with the Mac OS.

Mac OS integrate super easily with almost any USB Dac. I have no complaints about it at all. (I used a v-dac but pretty much any other USB dac would work the same way)
It'll connect to your mac but the rca jacks are meant for a line out so you'll need an amplifier between the udac and your speakers. Most any old stereo will do.
