Alex,
So the headphones you aren't bringing:
ATH-W2002 (don't care because the L3000 is superior)
Grado PS-1 (there will be another anyways)
Grado HP-2 (there won't be one of these so please consider bringing it)
Sony MDR-R10 (another rare headphone that many will want to hear)
Stax SR-007 (though I think the HE90 makes this 'phone useless, it would be nice to compare the two)

So yeah, please consider bringing the R10 and HP-2 if possible.

There are still many people who've never heard 'em.

I'll try to make the meet but I'm helping my sister move that morning and my car will be full of stuff. I'll try to arrange a ride and if I can attend I will bring:

Source:
Panasonic DVD-S47 DVD-A player
Benchmark DAC1

Amp:
Taylor-modified T-amp

Cans:
AKG K1000
Alessandro MS1
Beyer DT770-80ohm
Sennheiser HD25
Sennheiser HD650/Zu Mobius-XLR

Various cables but I'm not gonna lug the P300 around.

there's more than that... but I probably won't be bringing any more than I listed already since it's already a lot to set up and look after, and think of poor raif's car.

anyways, what I've listed is very over-the-top, and you are still not satisfied?

I realize my request is crazy since you're bringing an HE90 Orpues and a Qualia, (among other great gear). However, there are many attending that have never heard the R10, HP-2, SR-007 Omega II, etc. Well, since it's your gear and you're gonna be the one lugging it around it's your call. What do I care - I've heard all your 'phones already, but I can never get enough of that HE90!

hmmm.... MDR-R10 + AT-DHA3000 is very nice.

have the equalization and bass boost maxed out.

and it is all mine!! no one else can hear it.

I guess I could bring the R10? but that'll probably mean I'll have to reduce the other gear....

oh yeah... the music. yes people, don't forget the music!

Well, since no one's willing to supply me with a desktop computer, i'm heavily considering bringing mine, although i'm not exactly looking forward to it. so unless i change my mind, put me down for the following in addition to my list:

Emu 0404 modded (2x opa627)
Belkin 1500 watt surge strip. i will have 3-4 sockets left for anyone who needs any
secret service type looking earphone. i just want to know what the tube'll sound like with ear canal phones if anyone's bringing any.

see ya there!

Yay - now you can bring the R10 in the L3000's stead!
smily_headphones1.gif
It would still be fun to compare the HP-2 w/UWBC vs. the HP-2 with the standard cable!
wink.gif
It looks like utep10 will be my chauffeur for this event so I will be able to attend.

Heck no...there's going to be more gear coming than I'll be able to listen to in an afternoon as it is!

Someone else PM'ed me with a similar question, and I pointed out that you might want to bring your own 'phones, just so you can check out other's gear in as familiar an 'environment' as possible. However, judging by the list, there's going to be more cans than heads anyway.

I believe it's a Tea house, so you're probably limited to jasmine, oolong, and jelly drinks. I just hope the ten dollars per person covers their electricity bill for the afternoon. The Blue Hawaii will probably put them in the red

I was waiting for you to say that.

I guess in that case I'll bring the AT-DHA3000, which I must say goes very well with the ATH-L3000. Quote:

the ATH-L3000 was on the reserve list if there was room.... so I'll think about the R10. the HP2 is much smaller so that should be easier to arrange.

or did you want me to bring just the R10 and DHA3000 with a PCDP? that I can do easily....

great that you can make it. are you still going to be arriving late? Quote:

I'm sure with the gear others are bringing no one will care to hear HD600's anyway.

if you have something, bring it. what if I said that I'm going without gear since it'll take too long to take down / set up and I don't want to carry the heavy thing. Quote:
