To speak about bose a bit more...

If you haven't heard really good headphones, then the bose sound darned good. The QC3 does block out a lot of noise, but it also sounds like you're having a lot of pressure pushed against your ears (yes, a very disturbing feeling IMHO).

I own the bose triports. Before buying into more expensive headphones, I felt they were extremely good headphones. Upon reflection, if you like bass a lot then they are fairly good. The build quality, and sound quality, aren't worth their price, though. I personally use DT 880s, since I like classical music and a balanced none-colored sound. They are bulky, so best for home use.

Hopefully my next pair comes in soon...*sigh*...buying some new headphones for work after trying the DT 770s (which, were OK, just ... well too much imbalance on the cups, and apparently that's not an uncommon thing).

Hey, I'm more into IEM then into headphones so I can't halp you too much but I've a tip for you:
I live in holland too and yes, things are damn expensive here. Try to get your stuff from Ebay or second-hand from here, it will save you a lot of money!
FE: Super.fi 3's cost 150 euro's at MP3man.nl
At eBay, they are 60 dollars + 30 shipping. According to the latest GWK info, that would brin the total on... Euro 64,90!

Happy Head-fi-ing!

Thanx for your reply on te bose-stuff. I have a v700dj and I am fed up with it. I often listened to the senn 600 my brother has and I like the sound of that one. But it's an open one and that's not an option for me. Bose I have never heard. And regarding the things I hear I am not really interested in a bose one. I saw the triport but looked a little breakable if you ask me and to small (for what I am used to). So I recently fell in love with the ultrasone 750. But we'll see...

Hi Contrastique, looking as a newbie as I am - I registered two weeks after you.

Sony MV700? Don't you mean MDR V700? I tried to search for MV700 (have never heared about those) and I failed (maybie I am just dumb today
smily_headphones1.gif
). If MDR V700 on the street, I appreciate it. Why to get rid of them? If I would have them, I won't do it (as I cannot get rid of any in my collection

Still I gladly read you want closed ones. Those designs are according to my opinion best for streetwear. Concerning those CD3000 - they really look lovely, but you are right about the headband. I do not find it too stabile enough for streetwear (just imagine yourself running on the bus stop for the missed bus wearing them

).

I used the in-ear phones many years ago (and very selten) and I really did not like (if not even hate). I have quite small ears, so they just did not fit into my ears and I felt very uncomfortable. Moreover since I was six I wanted some big-ones. And since I got my first bigphones, I do not wear anyother type.

I do not understand what laughing is on the guy (or girl) wearing bigphones who enjoyes their good sound
mad.gif
. Counterwise - I appreciathe those bravemen/barvewoman. Maybie I am quite lucky, but wearing DT100 and DT770 PRO I do not feel like people are looking at me with strange or mock look (OK there are some but very few).

Unreachable ... not noticeable, ignore them. Very well said

. I absolutely have to agree. I just like to be unreachable.

25-1s have very good isolation features (even better than many circumaurals). Moreover they have good sound, stabile double headband and are lightwight (you just should know it better if you sell them). They are what I call bigsmall phones
smily_headphones1.gif
. Just according to my opinion (alredy expressed in this forum) they are the best circumaural phones at all. The 750s have cute design and have soft-velour cushions (like my DT770s) and of course good sound (but which ones of Proline series do not have).

My DT100s are partial white - the headband and cushions are black and the cups are white (or white-grey)

Anyway good luck by searching for good big cans.

I think we are talking about the same one as I am. If you pay me the shipmentcosts I will send them to you for free. And I am not kidding
600smile.gif
I really dislike them. They have a problem of breaking very easily and always in the same spot. This is my second one and has the same problem. I just fixed now by using a tierap. That really works well but for a headphone wich costs 200 euros I find this very sucky and I will never by anything from sony in the future. They had nice products in the past but their service is really sucky and so is the price for what they deliver.

Woehoew luckily I don't have to take the bus anymore! I can now walk to work and that's a real quite way of enjoying your music.

You are so right about that one!! They also hurted my ears and they also fall out if you turn your head. When you are finally used to the "big ones" it's impossible to go back to the small ones wheather they are very good or not.

I am a girl and maybe you live in a forgiving country but over here they just love to laugh about "different looking people". Read the most popular magezines; you have to fit the image and that's why I do photography; mock people in my own way. But anyways, even without them I seem to look laughable. But ok then maybe they have something to laugh about. They should do that more often here ( laughing I mean by that
biggrin.gif
)

I know I should have known that but I work in a photography specialism store where we sell apple and also ipods and I wanted to sell decent headphones for them so I started to introduce sennheiser in the store. But it's not my main specialty there. But still you are right.

Thank you. I have fallen in love with the proline 750 and almost decided I am gonna buy those ones. I have the ability to check them out tomorrow and I will let you know how they sounded to me but I think I will love them for sure woehoew I am in love

Thanx for your nice and extended reply.
Have fun on this forum. I am sure I did!!!
