Hi I bought my trusty d12 from the classifieds a few years ago and I love it, but I'm having trouble running it as a dedicated dac for the optical out of my tv.
I think my battery is shot. It doesn't seem to hold a charge, and I can't hear any switching inside the unit unless it's on charge mode. I think I've used it one too many times on battery and possibly wore it out. I'm not sure how good the over charge protection is on this little guy.
Whether I use battery or USB I'm getting no audio though.
Does it need a working battery in order to run from the USB power supply? It seems like this is the case, unless the power supply isn't working right. Ideally I'd like to keep it on 24/7 in USB mode so that audio from the tv always goes through it to my receiver.
I know it's a shot in the dark but if anyone has any advice i would appreciate it. I'd hate to lose this dac.
