Seems to be using the Adventure Series built quality... will be looking out for this!

Indeed, the magnesium alloy housing would be a pretty sweet deal for the build alone. I'm just not a huge fan of the shure-style mmcx connectors, but I'll reserve my judgement on that until they actually begin selling these in the market.

Yeah, not crazy happy that they seem have changed the connector and now have iPod/Phone controls. I want controls on the pin connectors too! I bought my UM2's last Christmas and can't afford to buy this new stuff just to get controls!! Kind of sucks but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.

I know the original EPIC Mics cable got discontinued because of voice echo (when making calls on a iPhone) but I haven't read much about the ADV controls yet. I'll have to revisit the ADV thread...edit since I took another look at the ADV thread. Eek! Yes, some have reported their controls stop working!

Design looks great, specially if the housing is magnesium, though I doubt it. Mmcx connectors are basically the new standard now, so good choice there by Westone. I suspect the sound won't change much in comparison to their older counterparts, but it's just a guess at this point.

too bad the interchangeable faceplates are not for sound tuning.
