New Weiss DAC202

Have any of you who've had a listen to this DAC experienced the unusually 3D sound described by the computer audiophile reviewer?

Has anyone compared it to the way less expensive Lavry DA11?  It better be very noticeably better given the price.  At $6,450, a comparison with the Lavry Gold might be more appropriate.

If you can diy and can live without the firewire the TwistedPear BuffaloII would be far cheaper, it also uses ES9018 and OPA1632 differential stage,  instead of AD797 used in the Weiss the BuffaloII uses LM4562

The latest UK Hifi magazine puts the 202 in a different league than the Grahm Slee Solo Amp. I am DIY'in the B22, it woul be interesting to compare the two also.

Yes.
Couple that with the SPL Phonitor's holographic presentation and watch your head explode.

At this moment I am precisely considering the 202 eventually coupled to the Phonitor.

The only thing I don't like on the Weiss 202 (although I still did not saw it "in the flesh") is the finishing... I don't understand why they match a black box with a silver face plate... at this price point everything is relevant including finishing quality and aesthetics.

Thanks. Interesting and useful reading.
What's your perspective on the price considering that the Weiss202 alone is more (or at leas as) expensive than say a Ayre QB-9 + Phonitor + cables combo.

Any new owners here?
5 days ago I received my DAC202U ("U" means that USB input is added) and I like what I hear. It has about 50 hours for now and I hope things will get better with more break-in.

Has anyone been using INT202 or INT203?
