Lessee… when I ordered and paid for my Mjölnir (look… umlauts!) weeks ago, delivery by end of August was stated.

I’m more than halfway there! Yayyy!!!

Nothing new here, but I am curious as to the amp aspect in particular. Having owned the LPGT Ti, I have great confidence in the DAC aspect, and I'm sure the amp will be great. But at this price level, I wonder where it would roughly rank vs various dedicated desktop amplifiers. Just how much more tasty AND delicious will it sound with that added volume?

Many sleepless nights, etc....
Amp performance is the only thing I'm waiting on. The amp section uses X8 LME49600. Lotoo have been using LME49600 for a while, so I've no doubt it the implementation will be excellent in Mjolnir. I just need it to be sure it competes with if not out performs my current reference set-up, which is LPGT Ti plus Mass Kobo 428 and Sound Tiger Concerto as a pre-amp.

Very first listening at CanJam, it is still the prototype unit, but I am surprised that it do not seems to be more powerful than the AK3000.
I wonder where are the 2.5 watts !! May be it is the prototype unit that is weak ? Anyone experimented the same ?

More testing this afternoon…

Surprised it's the prototype unit so close to the release date....

You're on high-gain?

me no liki, well still have time before it ships. maybe i was a bit too quick.

i fact i was going to ask if any storm owner can hear how would mjolnir pair with storm. but i guess no point if prototype is not really fully amped.

Hopefully it was a matter of being on the wrong gain setting....seems like "super gain" is the highest notch. But it the amp performance is "weak," well.....that would be a letdown.
also it’s important to know whether prototype unit is weaker perhaps ? i was going to get lpgt ti + external amp (just sold my tsuranagi and IC) and instead i got into mjolnir. i truly don’t want to go the cancel order route.

I seem to remember some reports of the early prototype that either balanced or SE wasn't fully working, so that may play a part. But if both balanced and SE are working, then I wouldn't imagine the prototype would be weaker. As mentioned, I'm surprised Lotoo would launch at this point with a prototype in any case...

Maybe @Aseem The Specialist can chip in, as it's being distributed via Hifonix.

Just a prototype but I am very impressed with the sound and build quality. There were some bugs in the firmware but was not final.
Still very responsive and plenty of power for headphones such as LCD5 ,Empyrean.
When it will be finally polished I think it will be a success.

I wonder whether the Mjölnir will offer the ability to search for song by name. The LoTOO PAW Gold does not - I don’t know whether the PAW Gold Touch does or not.
