.Regarding Roon, you will need a Roon core in order to use Roon with mobile devices. The reason why Roon is a great addition is that Roon recently release Roon ARC which basically let you access your Roon library no matter where you are at as long as you have a Internet connection. You can check out their official website on more details on Roon: https://roonlabs.com/howroonworks
I recommend trying out their free trial if you never use Roon before. Its probably my favorite upgrade in my audio setup this year. The Roon player is really good.
