Quick question, are you using a micro SD card on the device? If not put one in and see if the micro SD card registers when connected into the computer.

I have a MicroSD card in the device, though I have been thinking of ejecting it and trying again as there isnt a lot more I can try.

After contacting Jason, I was told to ask my local dealers in Australia to flash the CN version of the sp1000m firmware in order to get Chinese input method for song searching. They come back to me and Said due to hardware difference, they were not able to provide such service. I had since contacted Jason but never got a response. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case? I find it hard to believe that AK will make different hardware for different countries. Very frustrating to say the least.

When using Dignis Design's Patina case, sometimes more than two buttons are pushed unintentionally. And it causes troubles.
iriver's original cases don't cause this trouble.The difference of the shapes of cases does it. In my case, the screen of "setting"
became blank and I could not change the setting. Reboot did not solve this problem. After some trials, I had to use u boot menu
and wipe setting. So be careful when you use tight cases for SP1000.

Hi bro, may I know why I can't move the menu selection in recovery mode? I tried Track up/down, pause and volume wheel but it just stuck at "Reboot system now" option and can't choose other options in recovery, could you guide me? Thanks!

Oh I thought you want to pair s1 with spkm. S1 is great and enough for mobile use with mqa support coming out soon. But if you have spkm already, I’d just not get s1 because spkm is easy to use and carry if you’re outside.
