I added the Effect Audio Leonidas II to my setup enjoying it immensely right now. Beautiful cable blackest background I’ve ever gotten out of a cable. Amazing rendering and resolution to the tuning.

Could someone tell me the best way you would connect the SP1000 to to a Focal Archie headphone amp ?

USB if you want to use focal’s DAC. Otherwise, RCA

Thanks for that, but which one on the SP1000 ? Headphone socket (SP1000) to RCA on the amp and USB to USB on the both units (an adapter needed here) ?

For RCA, you will need a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Then select line out on player and control volume on your focal.

For USB, you need a USB B to C cable, or USB B to A with an adapter to connect to your player

I suppose going the USB route would be the “cleaner“ way. Thanks for that hemtmaker.

No worries. Try both and see which one sounds better :)

There's a third to use the toslink.
The 3.5mm out on the Sp1000 allows for that.

Hi guys,

I'm selling a used Astell & Kern SP1000M Lapis Blue. If anyone is interested in buying one second hand at a good price, send me an inbox message and we can sort something out.

Thanks
