Jason, any news about the support for the Digitally Imported apk? You told that it would be out in September, but the latest update don't allow me to install either.
It was submitted to our software team to include in the next update for approved streaming services. The last update in September did not include any Open App updates. The next update should include support for Digitally Imported. I do not have a timeline on when the next firmware update will be released at this time.

What file transfer programme is recommended for Mac under Catalina.
The latest version of Android File Transfer definitely should be compatible with MacOS Catalina - https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

If you would like a more robust Android file manager program, I suggest you check out Commander One Pro, available in the Mac App Store. The free version does not support Android devices, you would need to purchase the Pro version for Android support.

Got it. I am waiting anxiously for this update.

Commander One is much more stable than the free Android one but then it's not free. But much less crashing and it does other things as well.

Any updates from the team regarding the hardware buttons not functioning properly on some streaming apps? @JasonNYC
I don't have any info to share at the moment. I will follow up again when they are back in the office Monday morning.

I Will share some thoughts about the differences between SP1000ss vs SP1000cu, since I think it will differ from the general consensus:
For me...the SP1000ss is more soft or rounded in the highs, more rumble in the lows and neutral in the mids, not a warm tone, maybe a neutral/soft tone, all this in the balanced port.
The SP1000cu is more sharp in the highs a little more detailed here, less rumble in the bass and more prominent in the mids, it produces excellent perfomance in female voices, tone a bit mid centric with excellent highs and controlled lows, all this in the balanced port.
The tracks i used in this comparison are:
Barton Hollow -the civil wars (24bits/48khz)
The girl is mine and thriller -Michael Jackson (DSD)
Hotel California- Eagles (24bits/96khz)
In Twilight Hours - Kamelot (16bits/44,1khz)

The Headphones i used are:
Hifiman HE1000SE
64 Audio U18t

the differences are subtle but easy to hear...both players are in the last firmware (I don’t hear differences between firmwares)

It’s something wrong with both units?
I don’t think so, i own both so i can hear this for a large margin of time...
At least is funny to know that my opinion is almost the opposite to the general statement about the sound of both players...

Both are superb soundwise by the way

That correlates with @Jalo s post about a blind test between the sp2kss and sp2kcu:
