WhatHiFi just posted promo article/teaser about SP1000M. Apparently, virtual back button is added to the interface, assuming that we will see it as part of fw upgrade as well. Wish they would say more about the sound and the comparison to SP1000.

Yes, it is a virtual back button. I thought it was discussed in a previous post. It is used to help navigate in apps installed. It can be moved to any part of the screen, turned off when not in an app by dragging to the middle of the screen or turning off in the settings menu.

Is the SP1000M going to come with a pouch case for protection or we need to buy it separately?
If it comes with a case, what color/design is the case?
Just trying to match the new player color case with my upcoming JH Laylas haha!

Oh nice, nice case.
So the pouch is black although the player is blue. So the knobs are only items sticking out as blue than...
Hopefully that doesn't look too weird haha.

The SP1000M has slightly more power output on the balanced - 4.2Vrms vs 4.1 on the SE100

Thanks. Other than the a slightly stronger spec wise, I was hoping 1000m to have more driving power since it has a shorter battery life. This maybe my first A&K purchase since the iRiver days. I’m wondering whether to pair it with UE 18+ or Senn HD820.

What do you guys think would be the best IEM to pair this player up with?
I already have the A&K/Beyerdynamics T8ie mkii, which is a flagship model and should pair up well with the SP1000M.
However, while I love this IEM a lot, I want to switch it up a bit as I am getting bored from the same sound signature I am listening for already 2 years.

I am debating between custom JH Layla or Lola. Layla is more expensive but even Jerry Harvey himself says Lola's are his favorites...

I started out with the JH 13Pro but when the Lola came out last December, I jumped on them and have been happily using them ever since. They sound great with the Sp1000, don't know why they wouldn't with the M.

Have you tried Layla's by any chance?
From the descriptions I have been reading on the internet so far it seems that I might actually enjoy Lola more vs the Layla although Layla is supposed to be JH top model!

I would take a look at the roxanne as well. I find them a great co.pliment to my lcd x. I really want to try fourte with the sp1000 as well.

I also have the Roxanne and the Lola has replaced it for my SP1000. I use the Roxanne for my Poly/Mojo combo, which doesn't see as much use as my SP1000. They are both very good but I prefer the Lola.

You must try 64audio ,n8t ,a12t and flagship a18t before make a purchased jh audio.

My opinion lola bass too boom for me.
N8t has more organic bass signature than lola
