Unfortunately Tidal’s library lacks heavily for me (I’m big into EDM).

Yep that’s my problem too, Apple has me locked! I think I may sign up for a month and see how it goes.

I think you should get an SP1000 so you can compare with your DX200Ti. They are different flavors, if you ask me.

As for Tidal, I have it because it sounds better than Spotify or AM but would drop it in a heartbeat if ANY other company streamed hi-res music; not a big fan of rap artists which I always see on the front page of Tidal.

Which model can use OpenAPK service?
- OpenAPK will be available from SP1000, SE100 and SP1000M

How about SR15?
- due to the limited H/W specification, SR15 openAPK service is not available at this moment. We are trying to figure it out but cannot guarantee now.

How about KANN, AK70Mk2, AK3XX and AK240 (and 2nd generation model)?
- OpenAPK service is not available for those models.
- Because those models has lower version of Android OS which cannot run OpenAPK service.

OpenAPK supports Apple Music?
- No Apple Music is not supported by OpenAPK service.

When openAPK New F/W will be released?
- SP1000M already installed openAPK function and it will be available in Oct.
- SP1000, SE100 new F/W is schedule to be released mid of Oct (but it can be changed)

How to get the App and install it?
- Please refer to attached photos.

Can we install any app what i download?
- No only selected App is possible to install in AK.
- Because not every app is possible to run in AK and allowed OpenAPK service. So we will verify each app and will allowed only available app.
- We will get the feedback from the market and will expand available app continuously.
- AK only verify and allowed such music streaming apps but do not guarantee its service and policy.

Which App will be available in first stage?
- it is not confirmed yet but it will be Amazon Music, Pandora, Sound Cloud, Spotify, Tidal, AWA, KK Box, Melon, Bug, Music Mate etc.

Offline mode is available for Tidal now?
- Yes it is. please refer to attached photos.

How about Spotify and other App’s offline mode.
- If the app has offline mode, it is also possible from AK.
- But as we cannot check and test every App, and it can be also changed without notice, it is hard for us to guarantee.

Can we save offline mode files at the external memory?
- it is depending on the policy of each app.
- For example, Tidal App has no option to choose folder of offline mode files and it is hidden in the internal memory. So we cannot even see where is the Tidal offline mode files in the system.

Lastly, there are not much things we can guarantee for OpenAPK service and functions, and any issue/risk caused by Apps from OpenAPK is up to the user.

What is the name of the app you are using on the laptop to copy the APK file?

I can't find "Menu -> Services". I only seem to have "Store", where I have Groovers+ and Tidal. I'm hoping it's the same thing.
I have the latest firmware version: 1.08CM

If AK keeps up with their quality work, and nothing else goes wrong, this amp should allow spk keep on as the pinnacle of dap for several more years

PS: By saying that it will come next month, will the amp make its first appearance along with the spkm on the RMAF?

Why do you want/need an amp with the SP1000? Unless you are running hard to drive cans, its amp should be just fine. And if an amp DOES come out, it's going to be very pricey.

The one good takeaway from all of this AK activity is that the SP1000 (original) looks to be totl for AK for at least another year or two. Otherwise why the amp and the software update for it?

After the new firmware releases, only then SP 1000 will support apk extensions. Wait till 2nd week of October. The steps mentioned above are to be followed after the installation of new firmware. The steps are posted by Astell Kern on Facebook.
