New Plenue D3

Yeah, I’ve had so many of their players, over so many years, but it’s not looking good

It is really difficult to buy any Cowon DAPs these days so it is very worrying... On that note, what is the best alternative to Plenue D3? I look for something compact with long battery life and, of course, hi res FLAC support. Anything else is optional. Any ideas?

I heard great things about Shanling and Hiby but I haven't done extensive research on them.

ive got a d2. recently i bought an ibasso dx170 and a sony a306. of those two i prefer the sony. however the plenue sounds slightly better i reckon. theyre very similar but the plenue has a fuller lower end (in a good way) is how I would describe it.

i also prefer the cowon player app over the walkman

its sad cowon have gone under as i would definitely have bought an iteration that allowed streaming apps as well

Yes it is sad Cowon has left the building - great sounding players. After I accidently downed my Plenue D3 I replaced it with an Astell & Kern SR25 MKII and while this player has loads of extras I prefer the sound from the Cowon.

i find my little sony to be almost as good. maybe try a sony player

Bought this model at the end of 2020. The battery is holding up as it should.
Just need to replace the display.
Does anyone know where it can be found?
I do not want to look for another player to replace on my device
